ON & OFF GRID SOLAR ROOFTOP SYSTEMS
We take design, engineering and installation of roof top power plants based upon on grid
and off grid technologies.
OFF GRID SOLAR SYSTEMS WITH BATTERY
These systems will operate
asBACKUP
standalone and grid operated systems. These systems will
TERY
serve the segregated total load on the inverter by sharing it with the grid and batteries.
In these systems the following are the major BOM.
1. PV Modules
2. PCU / Grid Sharing Inverter
3. Batteries
PV MODULES:
The PV modules convert the light reaching them into DC power. The amount of power they
produce is roughly proportional to the intensity and the angle of the light reaching them.
They are therefore required to be positioned to take maximum advantage of available
sunlight within sitting constraints. As per the present available technology with ease an
efficiency Crystalline Silicon technology modules are preferred.
This are configured in parallel or series according to the inverter solar charger input voltage
and current ratings and also depends on the capacity of the plant.
SOLAR PCU INVERTER:
The Solar PCU (power conditioning Unit) is the heart of any solar power system and its main
function is to convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC).
This machine makes the use of sunlight with which the batteries can generate and store
electricity for later uses. A Solar off Grid Inverter can convert Direct Current (DC) energy
from the batteries to Alternating Current (AC) which can power the electric appliances.
Working:




When solar energy is sufficient then output of MPPT charger is given both to
batteries & inverter, the output of inverter will give AC voltage to load.
When solar energy is weak then inverter is taking the possible DC source from solar
in combination with batteries.
If batteries have low a voltage condition then load is shifted to mains grid & batteries
are charging on solar output.
Once batteries are fully charged then load is automatically shifted to inverter &
inverter is operating on solar & batteries.
SOLAR GRID SHARING INVERTER:
The main function of the grid sharing inverter is to convert the direct current DC from solar
panels to alternating current (AC).
Working:




It works without any changeover.
During availability of the mains power the total load is shared between the mains
and solar parallely charge the batteries.
During non availability of the Mains power the load will be served by the solar and
batteries.
During Night the load will be served by the mains power.
ON GRID SOLAR SYSTEMS WITH NETMETERING
These systems will operate in parallel with the main power supply by serving the total load
and excess generated solar power will be pumped in to the grid.
For installing this type of systems on our rooftops we need to get the permission from the
local DISCOM.
Process for getting the permissions from the local DISCOM:
1. Netmeter application along with 1000 rupees DD as to be submitted to the local
DISCOM.
2. DE will inspect the site and issue the technical feasibility report within 15 days. This
report will have validity for six months.
3. Within the six months of time the system has to be installed.
4. We need to pay the amount for getting the netmeter to the DISCOM.
5. After completion of installation we need to approach the DISCOM with PPA on
stamp paper along with the work completion report in the DISCOM prescribed
format.
6. DE will come for the inspection and install the netmeter by removing the existing
normal meter only if the installed system is operating as that mentioned in the
DISCOM guidelines.
7. After installing the netmeter DE will forward the information to the ERO for making
the netmeter billing.
The total above process along with the installation will be done by us on the customer
request.
In these systems the following are the major BOM.

PV MODULES:
The PV modules convert the light reaching them into DC power. The amount of power they

and current ratings and also depends on the capacity of the plant.
GRID TIE INVERTER:
The power processing circuits of a grid tie inverters are similar to that of the conventional
DC to AC Converter that operates as a stand-alone device. These inverters take a variable DC
supply from solar panels as input and invert it to AC supply as output in synchronization
with the mains supply. It can provide power to your load and feed an excess of the
electricity into the grid. During night it will be going into the sleep mode and in the morning
it will automatically starts the power generation as the sun light is available. This system
doesn’t require any maintenance as these are battery less systems.
ACDC DISTRIBUTION BOX:
This box contains the protection equipment required for the solar panels, inverter and the
mains supply (during service on the grid).
NETMETER:
This meter will record the power consumed from grid and also power feed in to the grid by
us. This meter will be installed by the local DISCOM people. Based on the meter readings
payments will be done to us by the DISCOM only if power pumped into the grid is more than
the power consumed by us and vice versa the case if power consumed is more than the
power pumped in to the grid.
SOLAR WATER PUMPING SYSTEMS
A solar-powered pump is a pump running on electricity generated by photovoltaic panels by
utilizing energy available from sunlight as opposed to grid electricity or diesel run water
pumps. The operation of solar powered pumps is more economical mainly due to the lower
operation and maintenance costs and has less environmental impact than pumps powered
by an internal combustion engine. Solar powered water pumps can deliver drinking water as
well as water for livestock or irrigation purposes.

PPA SERVICES
A Power Purchase Agreement(PPA) is a contract between two parties, one who generates electricity
for the purpose of sale (the seller) and one who is looking to purchase electricity (the buyer). It
defines all of the commercial terms for the sale of electricity between the two parties, including
when the project will begin commercial operation, schedule for delivery of electricity, penalties for
under delivery, payment terms, and termination.
1. Solar Projects Implementation under PPA:

Application filing: This is the basic step for getting allotment from the government.
We provide consultancy for filing pre application for Solar PV power generation
project to government department in Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. We provide
complete education on step to step guidelines and format of documents to be filed
with pre application to sure getting invited for application submission for respective
category in the solar policy.

Application Submission: actual application submission is the second step toward
getting allotment. It is also important to attach right documents required to be
submitted along with the application in certain format and details.


most cases from government. Beside once allotment approved, we provide complete help for
PPA signing with Distribution Company of the Government.
Payment collection: Once project initiated, we will help you set up process to apply, receive
payment notes, from relevant department of Government and most important get timely
payment every month by perfecting coordination within different functions of Government.
2. Solar Project Implementation Under REC (Renewable Energy Certificate Scheme):
REC is based on two financial components. One, sale of REC certificate and second sale
of electricity to third party, Government entity or for captive use. There are mainly four
steps involved in installing solar power generation project under REC scheme of CERC.




Accreditation: This is state Process. Developer submits all paper to relevant State
nodal agency asking for accreditation of his solar project.
Registration: Once project get accredited by state, developer has to get project
registered at CERC.
Issuance: once project commissioned, recording of power generation been conveyed
to NLDC and based on that reading CERC issues one REC certificate per MW of
renewable power produced in the developers solar power project
Trading and Redemption: Developer can take REC certificate to open exchange for
redemption of the certificate.
3. Solar Project Commissioning:
After full and final implementation of the solar power project, Developer has to ask state
nodal agency, chief electric inspector general office to verify, approve and certify the
installation. This Certifying authority designates the official to make personal visit and
inspect the site against all rules, regulation laid out part of the underlying policy against
which Developer has signed the PPA with government. This designated official inspect all
aspect of the site, record all information specifically power meter reading of the solar
plant and prepares report to the higher authority in the office. Based on the report
Director issues a commissioning certificate to the developer which he can present to the
financial arm of the energy department and open an energy account with the state.
