PCT Split Joint
Couplers are made from
ASTM A53 Gr. B steel
pipe. They are designed
to become an integral
part of the string,
whether it is for only a
few feet or spanning the
longest bridge. The
elongated slots of the
weld tabs allow for
expansion and
contraction.
Precision Cutting Technologies also offers a light weight “Victaulic or
Gruvlock” style of coupling utilizing either a cut or roll groove thus enabling
greater control and utilization of shorter lengths of casing for short runs or
attaching to existing casing.
BRIDGE CROSSING AND BURIED SYSTEMS:
The flexible design of these coupling methods makes it ideal for use in a
wide variety of systems in which random changes of the pipe direction can be
accommodated by the couplings angular deflection capability rather than
requiring the use of special fittings.
The “Victaulic/Gruvlock” style coupling is designed for applications where
rigid attachment is required. This style coupling provides a rugged reliable
“quick” connection for fiber optic and utility installations. Easy installation,
reduced costs, flexible design and strength is making this coupling option
the connection of choice for fiber optic and utility system designers as well
as utility installation contractors. (UL and ULC approved)

Split and Bent with Customized Fittings
“Brick Pattern” Installation
Nothing makes split Casing installations easier than utilizing PCT’s
Brick Pattern. Elongated bolt slots make attaching casing sections easy and
fast for even the worst jobsite conditions.
Galvanized bolts, nuts, and lock washers are included in your order. We
offer custom sweeps, elbows or custom bends in all Pipe diameters and
wall thicknesses and can fabricate custom sizes to accommodate previous
installations where standard fittings are not practical.

53 or ASTM A-500 Grade “B” line, as well as from ASTM A252,
in our manufacturing facilities.
PCT offers “SPLIT JOINT CASING” in lengths of 10’6” and shorter,
allowing for easy handling in the field. However, our staff engineers are
able to take your special requirements and custom fabricate unique
fittings and special lengths to fit any situation you may encounter in the
field or on the drawing board.
PCT “SPLIT JOINT CASING” comes in black or bare steel or
“GALVANIZED” per ASTM A-123. If your project requires specialized
coatings, MIL-SPEC., etc. on either the I.D. or O.D., they are available
from our paint shop.
PCT has worked with the Federal Government and various State
Departments of Transportation. If your project requires “Domestic”
materials only, we offer: MINED, MILLED, AND MANUFACTURED IN THE
U.S.A. All our material comes with MILL TEST REPORTS, unless
otherwise specified.
PCT has “APPROVED WELD PROCEDURES” available on request for our
fabricated fittings.
