HOLIDAY!!!
While I have not been able to be on class this week due to relieving
principal obligations, I did sneak in and have a look at the kid’s sea of
hands that they have been creating for reconciliation week. They look
fabulous and I cannot wait to get them up on display (photo next
week). We are certainly fortunate to have Kaz as our casual teacher
to look after and support our children.
Outdoor Expedition
Monday and Tuesday’s ‘Outdoor Expedition’ with stage 3 children
from Tanja, Wyndham and Towamba was a great success despite the
cancelling of the Kianinny Bay to Bournda walk. We all enjoyed the
outdoor activities organised and run by the Bournda EEC crew. Our
kids demonstrated great social skills, respect and compassion while
working with kids from other schools.

The deadly plant
Principal’s Calendar
Mum brought home a plant, it was a strange sort of plant. I'd never
seen a plant like it. It was sort of purple but it had a tint of green in
it.
Wednesday June 10 &
Thursday June 11
“I bought you a plant"
Movie Making Camp – Kaz on
class, also on Friday as Ms
Crowe will be away.
"Yes I see that what kind of plant is it?”
“I don't know, the lady I bought it from was very weird, she died as
I picked up the plant."
"Did you phone the ambulance or the police?!"
"No"
"Why?"
“I don't know I just didn't want to get involved."
So as she lifted the lid to the jar the plant was in and boom the plant grew all-over the room and
suffocated us.

Small Schools Athletics Carnival
Friday I will finally see everyone, we need to be at Wyndham by 9:00 am for the march past so we will
need to leave Tanja at 8:00am. Please make sure that you wear warm clothing along with your Tanja
shirts, jackets will be handed out on the day. Bring plenty of recess, lunch and water. Please wear your
hats and sunscreen. Ground sheets would be handy as the grass will be wet in the morning.
Drivers are – Danielle taking Ebony, Bodhi, Anna & Missy, Irene has Luke, Willow & Rachelle leaving
from Tanja School @ 8 am. Emma has Archie, Otis & Minka, Mel has Mahli, Finn, Georgia & Becky from
Tathra. Wyndham may need time keepers so if you think you can help, please see the marshal on the
day. Thank you.
Movie Camp
Movie camp is on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Four stage 3 children from almost all of the
small schools will arrive in Tanja to enjoy the two day event. A huge thankyou to the parents who have
volunteered their time to help in the catering of this event.
Community Thanks
Thanks to the Tanja Rural Fire Service, who came in on Sunday and did a burn off for us and a little
mulching. We live in a wonderful community and our school is looking fantastic. Come in and walk around
next time you are dropping off or picking up.
Student of the week
This week we celebrate the achievements of:
Bodhi for consistently volunteering to help out while on camp. A great person to have on hand when
jobs need to be done!
Linya for an amazing can do attitude while on camp. Your crutches did not slow you down or stop you
from participating in anything!
Jakiya for taking care with her work
Georgia for showing consistent enthusiasm for her work.
Well done everyone your efforts are appreciated!
