Prom Information
2015
Dear Parents/Guardians and Potential Graduates,
The end of the school year approaching quickly bringing with it many activities
and events that are particular to Millwood High School grads of 2015, here are
important dates and information to keep in mind while planning for prom.
May 13- All prom agreements are due to the main office.
May 14- Table sign up begins.
June 1- All grad fees and prom fees to be paid in full ($125 per grad. A nonMillwood High School Graduate guest is an additional $65.)
Saturday June 6- Prom
The prom is being held at the Harbouview Holiday Inn in Darmouth. Prom tickets
are $65 per person (cash or cheque can be made out to Millwood high School.)
Tickets may be purchased from Mrs. Griggs at the main office. All prom
agreements must be completed and past in by May 13. Any student signing in a
guest that does not attend Millwood High School must complete the appropriate
section on the prom agreement. If a guest is not in high school, the potential grad
must arrange a time form him or her to meet the administration prior to May 21.
If the guest attends High School elsewhere, the administration team will be
required to contact their school to confirm that the student is in good standing.
Beginning May 14 prom attendees may sign up for a table through the main
office. If the prom agreement is not completed, the grad cannot sign up for a
table. Table sign up is on a first come first serve basis. Each table seats ten
people.
Official Prom activities begin at 4:30pm at Millwood High School. Potential grads
and their dates are invited to come to the school to participate in a Grand March.
Potential Grads and their dates will meet in the cafeteria while parents meet in
the gymnasium. Following the March, the potential grads, guests and families will
stay for a couple of dances.
Potential Grads are responsible for getting to the Harbourview Holiday Inn on
their own. They should be at the hotel no later than 7:15pm.
Parents and guardians cannot come in to the Harbourview Holiday Inn. This is by
the request of the Hotel as there is no space.
At the end of the evening, busses will be loaded at the Harbouview Holiday Inn to
transport potential grads and guests back to Millwood High School where they
can be picked up. Arrival at Millwood High School is approximately 12:45am. If
potential grads do not require the bus they are to indicate this on the prom
agreement.
Prom Timeline:
4:30- 4:50pm- Arrive at Millwood High School for Grand March.
7:00pm- Arrival at Harbourview Holiday Inn
8:00pm- Dinner
9:00pm- Dance
11:00pm- Hypnotist
12:00pm- Load Busses.
12:45pm- Arrive at Millwood High School.
