History of the FFA
Goal: Create a presentation about the History of the FFA and the Nation’s History to educate our peers
about the significance of the FFA and National historical timelines.
Each group will be given a decade in the FFA’s History. It is your job to look up what significant events
happened in the National FFA’s history and the Nation’s history for that decade. You will need to tell us
why the event may have happened and the significance for the National FFA organization based upon
what was going on in the nation at the time.
Example: 1930’s The FFA Creed is created and 1929 the stock markets crashed. The creed instills
the belief in the future of agriculture, a belief in honest hands on work, a belief in helping your neighbor
etc. These ideals were important at the time because people had lost hope, had lost their jobs, needed
help from their neighbor and so they were important for individuals at the time to remember and hold
onto. This is why the creed was written the way it was and it still holds true today.
You will be creating a powerpoint presentation on these events and their national historical significance.
They will be shared with your peers in a presentation.
