will route through the new online system. Training will be in late Nov/early Dec.

2. Jennifer Priestley – New Program and Courses for Ph.D. in Analytics and Data Science
Discussion of the course proposals. Questions/issues/concerns included:
-The MATH courses are elective for the MS-Applied Statistics but required for the Ph.D.
-Enrollment is expected to be low at first but will build as successive cohorts come in.
-Why is MATH 8010 a MATH course and not a STAT coursethis is more of a philosophical
course not an applied course.
-Course designations are not different for “graduate” vs. “phd”, should numbering of courses
be different to know which are also available for graduate students
-Is there an accrediting body for this disciplineno, but there is a local advisory board
-Can someone come into the program with just a Bachelorsnot likely but possible
Motion to approve courses on a first reading from Scott Nowak, seconded by Sherrill Hayes.

New Business 1. Ken Hoganson – Termination of the MS in Applied Computer Science
