 Select “Common US labs only” and/or “Common SI labs only” depending on the convention in your locale
 Select “Only include methodless terms”


 Additional considerations for constraints

For System, choose Serum/Plasma over Blood if applicable
 Follow recommendations in the LOINC Mapper’s Guide (http://loinc.org/usage/obs), using either the US or SI version that is relevant to your locale
 Alternatively a CDS artifact provider could send multiple LOINC terms to account for the possibility that a CDS artifact consumer maps their lab term to a choice other than what is constrained by the method described above


Victor has created a Terminology Gaps and Issues Tracking Sheet. This sheet captures any gaps or issues with specific Terminologies that we have identified. o https://docs.google.com/a/esacinc.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Asf_PgXNolO1dFFhZndLZzEzaE t1bHF6TGFqZUpLNHc&usp=sharing#gid=0 o We will keep this sheet separate from the IG and the Coded Values spreadsheet since it is for internal purposes only. o Victor will be the owner/manager of this spreadsheet o As gaps are identified, the S&I framework could propose the change to the IHTSDO. o Discussions on the call included:

 For SNOMED CT Diet Orders: IHTSDO is currently reviewing changes; proposed release of changes/fixes Jan/2014
 For SNOMED CT Frequencies: No conclusion was reached. One approach is that there is hour based and time based frequency, in addition to a qualifier (qualifier).
