School Needs Assessment
 2014-2015 Math Benchmark Data (grades K-5)
o
January and May Benchmark Expectations are for all students, countywide to earn
80% on the assessments. We used last year’s assessment data to identify the most
missed standard by grade-level and at the school level.
 2014-2015 Comprehension Benchmark Assessment Data (grades 2-5)
o October and February Comprehension Benchmarks were analyzed for all students in
grades 2-5. We used last year's assessment data to identify the most missed
standard(s) by grade-level and at the school level.
 2014-2015 State and County Based Assessments
o January and May expectations are for all students, countywide to earn 80% on the
assessments. We used last year’s assessment data to identify the most missed
standard by grade-level and at the school level.
o Utilizing a variety of state and county assessments, we will strive to close the
achievement gap between our special education students and their non-disabled
peers. A discrepancy has been determined between our highest achieving students
and our lowest achieving students. At Hampstead Elementary School, we will focus
on providing inclusive professional development opportunities for all staff, and
provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all of our students.
 Spring 2015 Parent and Staff Needs Assessment Survey Data
o Survey results show a need for increased communication with parents with an
emphasis on county expectations and strategies for home support in both reading
and math.
