IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR PROM
Prom is an evening to which many students look forward. To ensure a perfect evening, the
following guidelines are for everyone’s benefit:
1. All Lake Park High School students and their guests entering the dance must present
an ID card. Students without a photo ID will not be permitted to enter the
dance.
2. A student may bring one guest to the dance. All guests must pre-register by completing
a Guest Registration Form and providing a copy of their photo ID. These documents
must be submitted to the Activities Office no later than Friday, May 16, 2014. Guests
must be 20 years old or younger to attend the Lake Park High School prom. Guests 21 or
older will not be admitted.
3. Appropriate dress is required. Those with inappropriate attire, as decided upon by the
Administration and Prom sponsors, may be excused from the dance without a
refund.
 When arms are extended, dresses must not be above the longest finger.
 Dresses that expose the midriff, have inappropriate cut-outs, or expose excessive
cleavage will not be permitted.
 No gym shoes, jeans, hats, or sunglasses are allowed.
 Gentlemen should wear either Formal Tuxedos or Suits
 The Men’s Wearhouse is the Official Tux Store of the Lancers
Men’s Wearhouse 357 W. Army Trail, Suite 30 Bloomingdale 630-539-9081
 Boys must keep shirts on at all times.
4. Those displaying sexually explicit dancing will be given a warning. Students who do
not comply after the warning will be dismissed from the dance. This may
result in the student not being allowed to attend the post prom. Students in
violation of this rule at Post Prom will face disciplinary consequences upon
return.
5. Once a person leaves the building, they will not be allowed to re-enter.
6. If students or guests are found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, they
will be turned over to the police liaison officer, removed from the dance, and receive
further discipline from Lake Park High School.
7. All LPHS rules and regulations are enforced at the Prom and the Post Prom.
