History Homework Grid
Year 7
Topics: Anglo Saxon/ Viking England and 1066
Term: Spring 1
It is expected that in Year 7 students complete at least one piece of home work for History every week. It is important that homework is completed regularly and to a good
standard. Homework assists in both securing the knowledge, understanding and skills that students gain within their lessons, as well as preparing them for future learning.
Instructions:
On the next page is a grid of homework tasks that the History department will set for this half term. Some of the tasks support the learning that students have already done
within their lessons; others prepare students for lessons that are taught during the half term.
Each piece of homework links to a specific Historical skill, as well as to a level of challenge.
Simply pick one of the home work pieces from the list each week, complete it and hand it into your class teacher the following lesson.
It is expected that any student working level 5+ attempts at least the challenge level two tasks, and any students working at a level 6+ attempts the challenge level three tasks.
Any additional sources/ worksheets required for specific homework tasks can be found on the next page of this document.
