Discussion
Discussion took place about what should be included,
added, re-worded and/or excluded from the by-laws and
what is already covered within the MOU/CIA: coalition
membership, voting eligibility, expectations, level of
commitment, minimum attendance, participation, and
restrictions to membership.
Discussion took place about the wording and clarifications
were made. Additional suggestions for selection criteria
were: verification of credentials, evaluation of trainer and
training by attendees, cost of training. Future policy work to
address consistency in messaging without duplicating the
work of the multiple committees. It was suggested that we
need to add temporary assistance for work to the type of
services that we might contract for.
Motion/Action Item
Action:
Robin will find out the origin on the MOU/CIA for purposes of changes
to the document.
Bill offered to provide Robin and the committee with wording around
qualifying factors for new members.
Robin will make corrections to a few spelling and grammar errors, add
recommended additions and remove/re-word recommendations made
by policy committee, and send updates to the policy committee.
This up-dated version of the By-Laws will be presented at the next
UCSCC meeting for discussion and/or approval.
Action:
The Policy Committee adopted the Union County Purchasing Policy
and Procedures with the addition of future policy work.
Heather will provide Robin (and Policy Committee) with the names and
contact information of trainers for Cultural Competency training.
Heather will give the Policy report at the UCSCC meeting on Dec 20,
2011.
A chair for the Policy Committee still needs to be appointed.
