TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF INTERTEXT TRANSLATION SERVICES
1.
An average typewritten page contains 1500 characters (the number of pages is the sum of characters, spaces and paragraphs divided by 1500 calculated in Word for Windows). The final number of pages is rounded up to half a page.
2.
Each assignment accepted and completed on the same day shall be treated as a super-express one. Each assignment completed for the next business day shall be treated as an express one.
3.
In the case of an assignment commissioned to be completed in an express rate (more than 6 pages a day) the basic price shall be increased by 100%, in the case of a super-express rate (more than 12 pages a day) – by 150%. In the case of assignments where the number of pages exceeds
50 pages at a time the speed of translation is increased.
4.
The assignment completion time does not include the day the order has been accepted by the
Agency, the day the translation is to be collected by the Customer, Saturdays, Sundays or statutory holidays.
5.
Advertisements and promotional materials are translated according to their originals.
6.
If the translated text is intended for publication, it should be additionally proofread and edited.
The Agency provides translation in the form of a printout and an electronic record. The translation can also be sent by e-mail and by fax.
7.
A fee charged for proofreading of a translation delivered by the Customer or for preparing our translation for publication amounts to 50% of the price of translation of such a text.
8.
There is no charge for a simple graphic layout (text formation, uncomplicated tables). A fee we charge for preparing more complex graphic layout (pictures, charts, schemes, text editors other than Word) is determined individually.
9.
Charges for translation certification correspond to the rates specified in the regulation of the
Ministry of Justice on certified translators’ remuneration.
10.
A charge for translating directly from one foreign language into another amounts to a rate for translation into a particular foreign language increased by 50%.
11.
In the case of texts that are particularly difficult the charge is increased by 25%.
12.
For translation of soundtracks 100% is added to the cost of the service.
13.
Prices for non-standard work are subject to negotiation.
14.
The agreed date of the collection of translations is the date when the text is ready to be collected from the INTERTEXT office. We are not responsible for any delays caused by problems with facsimile transmission, e-mail, or by couriers.
15.
Should the customer cancel his/her order, he/she shall pay for the part of the job that has already been completed according to the price agreed at commissioning the service.
16.
In the case of justified complaints we reserve the exclusive right to correct the text. All complaints should be reported within 14 days following the day the translation was completed.
We will not accept any complaints concerning super-express translations, but for the superexpress speed price we can correct the text given longer time.
17.
In the case of particularly difficult translations for which expert knowledge is needed, it is advisable that the Customer should provide reference materials (dictionaries of specific terminology, previous translations made by the Customer, etc.) and that they should arrange consultations with the company representative. tłumaczenia pisemne • redakcja • tłumaczenia ustne • obsługa konferencji • lokalizacja stron www • skład DTP
