OPEN THE DOORS.....This week on December 8th, Pope
Francis will open the large bronze doors at St. Peter's Basilica
in Rome, as a symbol of opening the special Holy Year of
Mercy. As Advent is a time of hope, it is appropriate to enter
the Holy Year during this season. God's "mercy" is our reason
to have hope. Let us walk through the door of God's love, that
is always open to us. May we place our hope in God's mercy,
through Jesus, for each of us and in turn be bearers of that
mercy to others. PRACTICE FOR THIS WEEK: Be merciful
instead of judgmental; Show kindness instead of complaint.
Let us open the doors of our hearts as God's people, the
church.
