AUTOMATIC CALLBACK
This feature will automatically dial a busy station when it becomes available.
To auto callback on a single-line phone:
1. When you hear the busy tone, press [Flash] or press the switch-hook for one second— listen for
dial tone.
2. Dial * 5 plus the busy number.
3. Hang up.
To auto callback on a multi-line phone:
1. When you hear the busy tone, press [Transfer]—listen for dial tone.
2. Dial * 5 plus the busy number.
3. Press [Transfer] and hang up.
The callback will ring as a priority call on your phone.
CALL FORWARDING
This feature allows you to direct your incoming calls to another extension or to an off-campus phone number of
your choice.
To activate call forwarding on any phone:
1. Dial * 2— listen for dial tone.
2. Dial the destination number.
To cancel call forwarding:
1. Dial # 2.
Note: Forwarding to off-campus numbers requires special feature activation. Contact Telecommunication Services for
activation of off-campus forwarding.
CALL PICKUP 
This feature allows you to answer a call from another extension in your pickup group while you are at your phone.
1. Dial # 4.
CALL PARK
This feature allows you to place a call on hold, and then retrieve the call from another phone.
To park the call on a single-line phone:
1. Press [Flash] or press the switch-hook for one second— listen for dial tone.
2. Dial # 0—listen for three short beeps and hang up.
To park the call on a multi-line phone:
1. Press [Transfer]—listen for dial tone.
2. Dial # 0—listen for three short beeps.
3. Press [Transfer] and hang up.
To retrieve a parked call from another extension, on any type of phone:
1. Dial # 7—listen for three short beeps.
2. Dial the extension where the call is parked.
DIRECTED CALL PICKUP
This feature allows you to pick up an incoming call from any extension.
To use this feature on any phone:
1. Dial # 8— listen for dial tone.
2. Dial the number of the ringing phone.
GUEST TRANSFER TO VOICE MAIL
This feature allows you to transfer a call into a voice mailbox without ringing the mailbox owner’s phone.
To use this feature from a multi-line phone if you are a CallXpress subscriber:
1. Press [Transfer].
2. Dial 65888.
3. Enter *9 and the extension followed by #.
4. Press [Transfer].
To use this feature from a single-line phone if you are a CallXpress subscriber:
1. Press [Flash] or press the switch-hook for one second.
2. Dial 65888.
3. Enter *9 and the extension followed by #.
4. Hang up.
To use this feature from a multi-line phone if you are NOT a CallXpress subscriber:
1. Press [Transfer].
2. Dial 65888.
3. Enter #*9 and the extension followed by #.
4. Press [Transfer].
To use this feature from a single-line phone if you are NOT a CallXpress subscriber:
1. Press [Flash] or press the switch-hook for one second.
2. Dial 65888.
3. Enter #*9 and the extension followed by #.
4. Hang up.
*Note: The caller will not hear the mailbox owner’s personal greeting. Only the name will be heard. For this reason, it
is important that you follow step 4 immediately after completing step 3.
LAST NUMBER REDIAL
This feature allows you to redial the last number placed from your phone.
To redial the last number dialed on any phone:
1. Dial # 9.
PRIORITY CALLING
This feature allows you to override the system coverage on a phone. As an example, if a phone is on send-all-calls,
this feature will force the call to ring on the phone dialed.
To priority call on any phone:
1. Dial *1 plus the extension.
SEND ALL CALLS 
This feature allows you to direct your incoming calls to call-coverage. The most common point of coverage is voice
mail.
To activate send all calls on any phone with call- coverage:
1. Dial * 3 or press [Send All Calls].
To cancel call coverage:
1. Dial # 3 or press [Send All Calls].
Note: This must be activated and cancelled on the user’s phone.
EXTENSION TO CELLULAR (ECS)
2400 and 6400 series phones
This feature allows you to receive incoming extension calls on your cell phone. Upon return to the office, the call
can be continued on the extension phone without interruption to the conversation .
To activate ECS with ECS500 button:
1. Press [ECS500]. The [ECS500] button indicator will activate.
To cancel ECS with ECS500 button:
1. Press [ECS500]. The [ECS500] button will go dark.
To activate ECS manually:
1. Dial 128— listen for dial tone.
2. Dial # (if at ECS extension) or dial five digit extension then #.
3. Enter security code #.
To cancel ECS manually:
1. Dial 129— listen for dial tone.
2. Dial # (if at ECS extension) or dial five digit extension then #.
3. Enter security code #.
The Security code is assigned through Telecommunication Services upon activation.
To move from cellular conversation to extension:
1. Lift extension receiver and press call appearance button.
2. End call on cellular device.
Note: Using the above instructions, the feature must be activated and cancelled on the user’s phone. This feature is
available on the 2400 and 6400 series multi-line phones.
FLASHING SPEAKER LAMP
7400 series phones
This procedure resets the flashing speaker phone light on 7400 series phones. The problem occurs when the phone
experiences a power outage.
To reset the flashing lamp:
1. With the receiver on-hook press the [Select] button.
2. Press the speaker phone button.
Note: A series of tones will play and the lamp will return to a solid green state.
REMINDER / WAKE-UP CALL
This feature allows an automatic ring alert to be sent to your phone as a reminder notification (i.e., meeting time).
To set reminder time:
1. Dial 145 – listen for four short beeps – then hear dial tone.
2. Enter reminder time in military hours (i.e., 1300 for 1:00 p.m.) – listen for three short beeps.
3. Hang up.
To cancel:
3. Dial 145 – listen for four short beeps – then hear dial tone.
4. Dial # – hear three short beeps.
5. Hang up.
MISCELLANEOUS
 Indicates Telecommunication Services programming may be required.
ALERT RING TONES
 One Ring—call from another extension.
 Two Rings—call from off-campus or the campus operator.
 Three Rings—priority call from another extension or busy automatic call back.
SINGLE-LINE phone receives one call at a time.
Typical sets include:
 2500 Series Phones
 6200 Series Phones
 8100 Series Phones
MULTI-LINE phone has more than one button for incoming calls and can receive more than one call at a
time.
Typical sets include:
 2400 Series Phones
 6400 Series Phones
 7400 Series Phones
