Clinical Experience:

 Department schedule:
Four weekly outpatient clinics.
Four weekly plastic surgery operative lists.
Once weekly burn surgery operative list.
Five weekly ward rounds.
Whole week on-duty reception of soft tissue trauma cases.
Five days weekly on-duty reception of acute burn cases.


Management of post-traumatic soft tissue defects.
Reconstructive micro-vascular free flap surgery.
Soft tissue hand surgery and hand trauma.
Tissue expansion, pressure sores.
Acute and chronic burn care and management.
Management of post burn contractures and deformities.
Management of different types of congenital anomalies: facial and craniofacial
clefts, anomalies of the extremities and genitalia, and vascular malformations.
Management of skin tumors.
Aesthetic surgeries: facial aesthetic surgery, abdominoplasty and liposuction,
rhinoplasty, reduction and augmentation mammoplasty.

Teaching:
Teaching the undergraduate medical students of Assiut and Al-Azhar
Universities the clinical skills of plastic and reconstructive surgery and burn
trauma.
Organizing and instructing of the regular postgraduate CME course of surgical
instruments, dressings and sutures.

 Thesis and Academic degree related:
Studying of different modalities of non_surgical facial rejuvenation. A part of a
thesis which fulfilled the Master degree in Surgery from the University of Assiut –
Egypt. A paper has been published from this work.

Studying the psychological perceptions and reactions in cleft patients and their
families. A paper has been submitted from this work.

Neurovascular anatomical study of the Latissimus Dorsi muscle in the dogs, rabbits,
and rats.
Histopathological assessment of the suturless experimental microsurgical neural
anastomoses.
Increasing the reconstructive validity of the gastrocnemius muscle in reconstruction
around knee, by the vascular pedicle extension technique.
Microvascular anastomoses using the new double transverse microvascular clamp
applied to both arteries and veins.
