6th Grade Biomes Project
_____/20 points – Create a poster of your assigned biome. Posters must be neat, colorful, and
full of information (location, climate, plants and animals, threats and conservation.)
_____/20 points – Create a Triarama of your assigned biome. This will contain information
about your assigned biome (location, climate, plants and animals, threats and conservation.)
_____/20 points – Create a diorama of your assigned biome. This should include examples of
the land and/or water composition, along with examples of plant and animals species that
would exist in your biome.
_____/40 points – Write a descriptive essay of your assigned biome. Include geographic
location, descriptive details, climate, plants and animals that we could find there. It must be 2
pages or more and typed (No more than 14 font, double spaced).
_____/40 points – Create a PowerPoint about your assigned biome. It must contain at least 10
slides, but no more than 15. It should include information about the geographic location,
climate, plants and animals, as well as threats to your biome and ways that we may help
conserve it.
_____/40 points – Graphic Organizer (4-Foldable/Brochure). This will contain information
about your assigned biome (geographic location, climate, plants and animals, threats and
conservation.) Must include at least 1 graph/table/chart and 2 pictures.
_____/2 points EXTRA CREDIT for each project – Include one symbiotic relationship (mutualism,
commensalism, or parasitism) that exists in your assigned biome.) Each project must include a
different symbiotic relationship.
