Task: Create a Photo Essay about Hemingway’s interest in Hunting and Fishing. The essay should answer the
following questions with a series of pictures and either direct quotes or paraphrased information:
1. Where did Hemingway hunt and fish?
2. What attracted him to these places?
3. Why was Hemingway so interested in hunting and fishing?
4. What human qualities, traits, and/or characteristics did Hemingway believe were valuable to possess or
develop as a result of hunting and fishing?
5. What were some memorable experiences Hemingway had while hunting or fishing?
6. What did Hemingway learn from his experiences hunting and fishing?
Requirements:
1. Your photo essay must contain a minimum of eight pictures.
2. Each picture must help to answer the questions and tell the story of Hemingway’s love of fishing and
hunting.
3. Each picture must be accompanied by a description in the form of a quote or paraphrased
information from your research that helps to explain the picture and answer the questions.
Descriptions must be a minimum of 3 sentences in length.
4. Each description (paraphrased or directly quoted) must contain an MLA parenthetical citation
5. Your photo essay must also include an MLA works cited list
