CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR
Cowichan Valley School District is seeking an individual to be our Custodial Supervisor.
Cowichan Valley School District is…
 Located in the Cowichan Valley and centrally located between Victoria and Nanaimo on
beautiful Vancouver Island. Reaching from Mill Bay in the South to Chemainus in the
North and Lake Cowichan to the West.
 Composed of approximately 7800 students and 26 facilities
In this position you will provide leadership to Custodial Staff. You will be responsible for staffing,
safe work procedures, department practices, training and purchasing for the Custodial
Department as well as being responsible for management of appropriate budget sections. You
will become a part of the Operations Department Management Team and assist in the ongoing
development of the Department.
To be successful you will have…
 Proven leadership skills and fiscal management;
 Knowledge of Custodial practices and facility maintenance;
 Knowledge of WorkSafe BC Regulations;
 WHMIS and the ability to train;
 Leadership experience in a unionized environment;
 Organizational, supervisory and problem solving skills; and,
 Excellent communication skills.
