Use thinking skills to analyse historical evidence in order to draw conclusions about life in the past

Use communication skills to write from the perspective of others

Possible Action - Things you can do outside school to support the unit:

Visit the Hong Kong History museum to learn about the story of Hong Kong

 Do a heritage walk of Hong Kong identifying and photographing evidence of Hong Kong’s past e.g. old buildings, the gas lamps on Duddle Street, the markets etc.

 Talk about your own family’s history and heritage

Talk to people who have lived in Hong Kong for a long time and discuss the changes they have seen / experienced

Visit some of the many small museums found around Hong Kong

Look at images and video clips of old Hong Kong. Discuss how life would have been different / the same
