Overall Program Goal
To provide information for nurses and other healthcare professionals to build upon the
knowledge and skills necessary for the management, administration, and delivery of
quality healthcare and infusion-care practices.
Contact Hours:
This activity has been submitted to the New Jersey State Nurses Association for approval
to award 5.0 contact hours. The New Jersey State Nurses Association is accredited as an
approver of continuing nursing education by the American Credentialing Center's
Commission on Accreditation.
This program qualifies for CRNI units.
Food:

Program Objectives:
After attending this continuing nursing education program, attendees should be able to:
1. List eight of little life’s lessons for infusion nurses and other professionals.
Understand the difference between creating ones own stress and overcoming it.
2. Identify the prevalence and relevance of catheter-related occlusions and the
management and prevention strategies for UEDVT.
3. Describe the examples of nursing research on infusion practice that adds to the
body of evidence. Identify the different levels of evidence.
4. Identify the most important contributing factors for the development of
antimicrobial resistance. Identify ways to optimize antimicrobial therapy through
stewardship initiatives.
5. Identify new practical recommendations to assist acute care hospitals in
implementing and prioritizing prevention efforts.
