1. The total number of teachers will be the same as 2015 FTE.
2. Previously the structure was 1 Manager to 3 Teachers. The new WDC Management ratio will be 1 Manager
to 3.7 Teachers but this is still more generous than most Councils.
3. The Council will still have a higher management ratio than most comparable councils.
4. The management time available will be the same amount as the management time prior to the restructure.
5. The Promoted Teacher numbers should better reflect school needs.
6. The new structure also includes 4 Flexible Principle Teachers.
7. Phase 1: Deputy Head Teacher review was delivered prior to new academic year in August, 2015.
8. Phase 2: Promoted Teacher Review was completed in December, 2015.
9. Formal implementation was to be completed by 31st March, 2016.
10. Four Working Groups have been set up to address bureaucracy and workload issues.
