Induction Tooling Inc. receives ISO 17025 accreditation
November 27, 2012, North Royalton, OH - Induction Tooling Inc. is proud to announce
that they have received accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory
Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 General Requirements for Calibration and
Testing Laboratories for their on-site Metallurgical Laboratory.
According to Sandra Midea, Laboratory Manager and company metallurgist, “The staff
at Induction Tooling has spent the last year completing the extensive accreditation
process which encompasses the quality system, calibration protocols and competency
of the technical staff. The Metallurgical Laboratory allows us to provide the highest
caliber services to our customers.”
Ms. Midea continues, “Our decades of experience and diverse experience make us a
trusted resource for advice, guidance and design expertise in induction heat treating
tooling. Our induction laboratory is a valuable extension of our services, allowing us the
ability to not only design and fabricate high quality inductors; we can characterize them
on-site, develop process parameters for production and formally validate the results in a
format that can be submitted directly to the end customer. We see a significant
reduction in the time required to get inductors from design and into production.”
The laboratory is granted accreditation for mechanical testing of ferrous metals
including hardness testing, case depth analysis, grain size and metallographic analysis.

The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) is a nonprofit, non-
governmental, public service, membership society. A2LA provides comprehensive
services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training. Services are
available to any type of organization, be it private or government. Laboratory
accreditation is based on internationally accepted criteria for competence (ISO/IEC
17025:2005). A2LA also offers programs for accreditation of inspection bodies,
proficiency testing providers, reference material producers and product certification
bodies.
