Q:

A:

Q:
Whoopin’ Weekend is the same weekend as Aggieland Saturday. Can I
attend both?
A:
Participants for Whoopin' Weekend would not be able to attend Aggieland
Saturday, as it conflicts with our Risk Management policies which require
participants to remain with the conference at all times. Much of what is presented
at our conference is what Aggieland Saturday is all about. Only our goal is to
present the information to participants from current students. We strive to give
participants as much of a chance to feel like a student while obtaining the
important information that goes into apply for a university, such as Texas A&M.
If participants feel as if they lacked certain information our members of our
committee serve as a year-round contact to participants. Our members would be
more than willing to assist in obtaining the information needed to help in
applying.

Q:
How does the Aggie Recruitment Committee select students to participate in
Whoopin' Weekend 2010?
A:
Whoopin’ Weekend is a conference planned by the Aggie Recruitment
Committee for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in
experiencing college life at Texas A&M University. While we wish we could
allow everyone who wants to participate in Whoopin’ Weekend to do so, we
simply, do not have the resources and facilities to do so. Thus, participation in
Whoopin’ Weekend is limited to 200 students to campus. In order to provide the
fairest selection process to all interested parties the Aggie Recruitment Committee
will be implementing the following selection process for Whoopin’ Weekend

A:
On Thursday, January 7th, 2010, at 08:00am Central Time, registration will open

The selection process will be conducted on a first come first serve basis based
upon the student’s grade level (sophomore, junior, senior). The Aggie
Recruitment Committee’s goal is to have 20% sophomores, 55% juniors, and 25%
seniors attend Whoopin’ Weekend 2010. If that enrollment goal is not met any
remaining spots will be filled regardless of grade level, based on timestamp of
when the student’s registration form was submitted. After the conference has
been filled remaining students (up to100) will be placed on a waitlist to fill spots
that may become available between the close of registration and the week of the
conference.
