2011 Homecoming Half-time Script
Prior to any band announcements or performance, please read the following:
Good evening. I am __________, and on behalf of the Bermudian Springs
Student Council, I welcome you to our 2011 Bermudian Springs High School
homecoming half-time festivities. As a kickoff to Spirit Week, we had our ____ Annual
Powder Puff Tournament this past Sunday. The tournament was a great success, and
thanks go out to all who participated and attended. Bermudian Springs will be donating
over $____ to the National Down Syndrome Society. The National Down Syndrome
Society’s Mission is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance, and
inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
Now, please direct your attention to our Bermudian Springs Marching Unit, who will be
assisting with our Homecoming Court presentation.
After the band has stopped moving and has begun playing the ballad from the
show and you see we are all waiting behind the bass drum line in the middle of
the field please read:
It is now time to present to you this year's Homecoming Court.
Our first nominee for King is Mr. Adam Berryman. Adam plays varsity football and
baseball. Escorting Adam down the field are his parents Sam and Judy Berryman of
East Berlin.
Next is Mr. Alex Emlet. Alex is a member of the varsity baseball team. Escorting Alex
down the field are his parents, Charles and Anne Emlet of York Springs.
Our next nominee is Mr. John Eschrich. John is a member of the High School Band,
the Bermudian Springs High School Soccer team, and the ski club. John is also a
member of the light crew for the high school musical. Escorting John down the field are
his parents Bill and Nancy Eschrich of East Berlin.
Now introducing Mr. Tyler Fitzkee. Tyler is a member of the varsity football and
wrestling teams, chorus and Varsity Club. Escorting Tyler down the field are his parents,
Thomas and Sherry Fitzkee of York Springs.
Our next nominee is Mr. Austin Owens. Austin is a member of the varsity football and
track teams. He was also one of the PowderPuff Senior Coaches this past Sunday. He
is being escorted by his parents, Kevin and Michelle Owens of East Berlin.
Our next nominee is Mr. Thomas Saguto. Tom is a member of the Golf Team as well as
National Honor Society. Tom is a member of steel band and plays guitar in the Jazz
band. Tom is escorted by his parents, Michael and Donna Saguto of East Berlin.
Our final nominee for homecoming King is Mr. Daniel Shannon. Danny plays Golf for
Bermudian Springs and is also a member of the track and field team, and ski club.
Escorting Danny are his parents Brian and Susan Shannon of Lake Meade.
Our first nominee for homecoming queen is Miss Meghan Conklin. Meghan is a
member of the volleyball team and the interact club. She is also a member of band.
She is being escorted by her parents, William and Joylyn Conklin of York Springs.
Next is Miss Alexis Ruthanna Dupler. Alexis plays field hockey, and pole vaults for the
track team. Alexis is also a cheerleader and a member of the chorus. Escorting Alexis
down the field are her parents, James and Kristine Dupler of East Berlin.
Now introducing Miss Abbey Leigh King. Abbey is a cheerleader as well as a member of
the track and field team, varsity club, and chorus. Abbey is being escorted down the
field by her parents, Chris and Jennifer King of Lake Meade.
Our next nominee is Miss Paige Messinger. Paige plays varsity field hockey and is also
president of Interact Club, Vice President of the Class of 2012, and a member of the
chorus. She is being escorted by her parents, Mark and Deb Messinger of East Berlin.
Now introducing Miss Logan Mae Myers. Logan is a cheerleader, the vice-president of
Varsity Club, and a member of chorus. Logan is being escorted by her parents Scott
and Lisa Myers of Lake Meade.
Our next nominee for Queen is Miss Courtney Noelle Wallen. Courtney is active in the
yearbook and yearbook club as well as a cross-country runner. In addition, this is
Courtney’s third year as a class officer. Courtney is being escorted by her parents Steve
and Holly Wallen of East Berlin.
The final member of our homecoming court is Miss Liana Joy Wool. Liana is the
president of the senior class, chorus, and student council, as well as, vice-president of
National Honor Society.
Now entering the field are our 2010 Homecomiong King Mr. Matt Wolf escorting our
2010 Homecoming Queen, Miss Kylee Hakes.
After everyone is standing in a line at the edge of the field begin reading again:
The 14 candidates presented to you were chosen by the Senior Class to represent
them. The candidates were then voted upon by the entire high school student body to
determine this year’s winners. The flower arrangements being presented were
prepared by our greenhouse classes. We would especially like to thank Scott &
Company Fine Jewelers of New Oxford for donating the tiara that will be presented to
our Queen tonight.
For Homecoming King, the student body has selected
as the 2nd runner-up, Mr. Austin Owens
as the 1st runner-up, Mr. Thomas Saguto
and our 2011 Homecoming King is Mr. Tyler Fitzkee
For Homecoming Queen, the student body has selected
as the 2nd runner-up, Ms. Meghan Conklin
as the 1st runner-up, Ms. Logan Myers
and our 2011 Homecoming Queen is Ms. Alexis Dupler
Thank you so much to our entire court and to all the fans here tonight! The Student
Council hopes everyone is enjoying Homecoming 2011. Thank you for your support,
