STEVENAGE UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
NOTES OF MEETING HELD ON
TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER 2014
INTRODUCTION
The Chairman, Bob Allen, welcomed all to this annual Focus On Final and Christmas
refreshments meeting. Approximately 18 people attended the meeting. Bob made the usual
announcements re health and safety and announced the following:
1. Thanks to everyone who helped with Martin Edge last month which was a great success.
2. Calendars have been received and distributed. Many thanks to Dave Broom for organising
this.
3. Committee meeting was held on 2 December.
4. Website uploads for annual photo competition is there and Focus On categories for 2015
will be available soon.
5. The themes for next year will be published
6. Bob attended an Arts Guild meeting earlier in the month. The Stevenage Festival is on from
13 – 27 June 2015 so we will be looking for photos to display in the Gordon Craig.
7. SSAC dinner dance occurred and was very good.
8. Trips for next year: June 6 for 2 weeks on Live aboard Freedom 3 in Red Sea; Farne Islands
in September 22-24 with SSAC and through Ray Allen; Ken is thinking of the Farne islands;
he has organised a trip to Bali in October for 10 days. Ken has the details if you are
interested. Things will be published again in the New Year.
9. Ken was 79 today so we all wished him well.
10. The meetings calendar for next year now exists. We are in need of speakers for main talks,
5 images and shows.
11. The annual photographic competition is in February.
12. Diving Equipment – discount from Fin Divers and Matt has donated £74 to our funds.
13. Next year’s Committee will need a Chairman (or Assistant) and Secretary and Treasurer as
Dave Collins has indicated he is willing to stand as Chair. We also need a new SUPS
Supporter Editor/Provider.

SUMMER ANNUAL PHOTOSHOOT AT HARTHAM PARK
The photos taken by members on the annual photo-shoot at Hartham Park in Hertford in July
were shown.
After all this we then shared Christmas Special refreshments and chatted to one and all.
Thanks to everyone who provided goodies – they were all lovely and appreciated by everyone.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be on 13 January 2015 at The Arts Centre on Roaring Meg, Stevenage,
commencing at 8.00 pm and will include:
