- New IPC2009.01 scheme (EV7FV)
1. General comment
in a number of cases, when checking the compilation files, we had the impression some
mistakes were made. However looking at the corresponding entries in the new IPC2009
scheme things seemed to be OK.
So probably the undersigned is not sufficiently familiar with all particularities of the RIPCIS
system? Therefore some of the remarks below might be redundant. To be on the save
side, they are posted anyway.
2. Detailed comments
2.1 PROJECT M108 - D21F
EV/FV
!! Looking at the IPC2009.01 scheme for D21F, everything in relation to project M108
looks OK for both the EV and FV !!
However what I found in the compilation files, seems not to correspond to this new
IPC2009.01 scheme. So if the content of the compilation files will not change what can be
seen now in this new scheme, possibly the EP comments below about M108 could be
disregarded ??
[I. Compilation file ALL CL (2006-2009) - EV

1/00 Wet end of machines for making continuous webs of paper (suction
rolls D21F3/02)
EP-comments:
* According to T.A. 22E of IPC/WG/17 as well as T.A. 160E of CE/40/6, the reference to
suction rolls was deleted from the scheme (ref. to D21F3/02 in 1/00 for CL and to
D21F3/10 in 1/36 for AL)
* We could not find any indication there was a decision taken to re-introduce this reference
!?
II. Compilation file ALL AL (2008.04-2009.01) - EV

EP-comments:
This compilation file relates to the AL, however only CL group amendments appear.
According to T.A. 22E of IPC/WG/17 as well as T.A. 160E of CE/40/6 also the following
changes should appear for the AL !?

EP-comments:
the new IPC2009.01 scheme, correctly give the [2007.01] version indicator to the
new A62D notes resulting from project A001, while all compilation files (EV & FV - CL &
AL) give the version indicator [2009.01] ??
2.4 PROJECT A003/C434 - H04H

EP-comments:
the compilation file for the AL (EV & FV) gives as version indicator for the notes after
H04H [2009.01]. Should this not be [2008.01] as in the new IPC2009 scheme??
It is not clear to us why in the compilation file 2008.04 - 2009.01 for the AL, the CL
amendments for C434 are present (AL introduced 2008.01) ??
2.5 PROJECT A005/C435 - H04W

EP-comments:
- in the compilation files for the AL (both EV & FV) the AL subgroups for H04W do not
appear (e.g. subgroups of H04W12/00). In the new IPC2009.01 scheme (EV & FV) they
correctly do appear
- we presume that the difference in the use of square brackets for abbreviation in the FV
and EV, see e.g. group H04W52/00, is according to some agreement (which I am not
aware of to be honest).
2.6 PROJECT A006 - B60K

*B21D51/02 is not a new group created in 2009, so should the version indicator not be
[1,2009.01] ??
* To the other groups in this project with modified wording (51/16 and 51/38) an additional
[2009.01] indicator is not added, nor to the groups with modified wording in projects M108
and M109 discussed above ??
II. Ref.: [Session CE40 Project C442] - AL

a similar discrepancy between the compilation files and the new IPC2009 scheme was
noticed as for M108 above, in relation to group B21D51/38.
While the IPC2009.01 scheme looks OK, in the compilation files for the AL, the
reference to B31D5/00 is placed in group 51/38, while for this AL this reference should not
appear in this group but in group 51/44, where it was already present (as correctly done in
the new scheme). Concerns both EV and FV.
2.8 PROJECT M702 - Table chemical elements

EP-comments:
OK, except for new IPC2009 scheme (EV & FV): new note 3 after section C title appears,
but not (properly) the table itself .
2.9 Section D
EV/(FV)
In agreement with PT, EP checked section D for projects M010, M012, M013, M014,
M031, M032, M099, P091, P092, P093.
EP-comments: none.
