NORFOLK CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS ADMISSIONS CRITERIA AND PROCEDURES
Norfolk Christian Schools seeks to enroll students who may benefit from and are committed to the educational
program and values of the school. NCS welcomes students of all racial and ethnic origins whose families are
regular attendees of a church in agreement with the NCS Statement of Faith. Qualifications for a complete
application submission include a written personal testimony from at least one parent describing their faith and
relationship with God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Additionally, a pastor's reference verifying family’s
church attendance is also required. Admission to Norfolk Christian Schools is selective and is based on the above
factors and others, which may include previous school performance, teacher recommendations, testing results,
and demonstrated citizenship qualities.
Financial assistance may be available on an annual basis to those families who demonstrate financial need as
determined by the guidelines set forth in the Norfolk Christian Schools Tuition Assistance Policy. Financial need
is demonstrated through disclosure of current income and projected earnings in a timely manner in accordance
with the application process. Families must apply for tuition grants through and provide all required
documentation to FACTS (www.factstuitionaid.com) in order to be considered by the Tuition Grant Committee.
Detailed tuition Assistance information is located on the Norfolk Christian Schools website. New families may
apply for tuition assistance at any time after receiving notification of acceptance from the Admissions
Office. The appropriate enrollment fee per the current schedule of tuition and fees must be paid before
the committee will announce grant awards. Should the committee conclude that a new family does not
demonstrate the financial need necessary to qualify for tuition assistance or should the family judge the offered
tuition grant to be insufficient, resulting in that family not enrolling the student, said family will be released
from their contract and refunded their enrollment fee.
