GRADING AND WEIGHTING
The first three columns above represent 33. 3% of your total
grade. Under each heading is a small sample of what is
expected of each student. The fourth column represents extra
musical work that you have participated in. It can be used only
for your advantage, not disadvantage! You may use a
maximum of 2 extra credits each period (they will not carry
over.) Each extra credit will move one column one step. Any
unexcused performance may result in the failure of the class
for one grade period. To be excused a student must present a
note two weeks prior to a performance (except in emergency
situations). Students will also be expected to turn in a 3 page
pager (high school only) 1 page paper (middle school) to make
up the missed time. (See me for guidelines). Though a news
letter with dates is sent home quarterly, it the students
responsibility to get the dates and times off the black board at
school.
