Proposed Student Registration Information Guide Language Revisions (SIRG) – Sept 20, 27,
2012

Physical Education is to be waived at any point during a semester for an athletics or a
marching band waiver, the student will earn a mark of "credit" or "no credit" on the
transcript and the course will not count toward meeting IHSA eligibility requirements. If
the student chooses to not waive Physical Education, the course will count toward IHSA
eligibility as the student will be taking the course as a grade-point-average course.
(2)
“6 Driving Hours” on Page 15 in the Student Registration Guide for Driver Education will
be removed. The 6 hour driving hours are not required to graduate.
