Bringing Up Great Kids
The Bringing Up Great Kids program is a six
week program for parents of children aged 5-12
yrs which aims to equip parents with the skills to
enhance their patterns of communication with
their children, promote more respectful
interactions and encourage the development of
children’s positive self identity.
Commencing: Tuesday 20th October
Time: 7.00-9.00pm

Positive Parenting Program
For Parents of children aged 2-5 years. Groups
run for four weeks, followed by up to four
weekly telephone sessions

Parenting Your Teenager
A 4-week program which examines what is
normal teenage behaviour, the four cardinal sins
of parenting teens, communicating with your
teen and managing those tricky situations.

Parenting in a Blended Family
This 4-week program has a positive look at the
joys and difficulties of being in a blended family.
The program investigates the importance of
identifying and respecting each individual’s place
and developing realistic expectations of all
concerned.

Tuning into Kids

Navigating the Rough Swells – Separation
Parenting was never a cruisy job, but if you’ve
separated it can become pretty stormy. Understanding
what your children are experiencing and how you are
affected is the key to navigating the big swells and
setting a course for calmer waters. This free program
is for Separating or Separated parents who would like
to focus on their child’s experience of separation.

Key Steps to Parenting after Separation
A 6-week program for separated/divorced parents
who have a history of ongoing conflict .The focus of
this course is to enable mothers/fathers to explore
ways to develop a “co-parenting and business - like
relationship” with the other parent or simply to
strengthen their own relationship with their child/ren.
Ideal for parents who wish to develop
communication strategies that can result in child
focused decision making around parenting plans
and enable your child/ren to feel secure despite the
challenges that go with separation and or divorce.

Parenting after Separation
Parenting after Separation is a 5-week or weekend
program designed to support separated parents and
their children. This is not a group to teach parents
how to parent, but rather how to adapt to separated
parenting and manage challenges such as parenting
from a distance, conflict with an ex-partner and the
children's reactions and responses. The group
allows plenty of time for questions and discussion.

program to help parents gently and firmly
manage the behaviour of children in the 2-12
year old age group. 1-2-3 Magic provides
parents with strategies to sort between different

emotion which lessens both parent and child
feelings of emotional stress and helps children to
understand and better manage their emotions.

Who’s In Charge?
A group for parents and carers of 8-18 year olds
engaging in violent, intimidating or abusive
behaviour, and who are out of control or defiant.
Groups run for eight weeks, followed by a follow
up session after 6-8 weeks. Self-refer or be
referred through other services.
