OUTSTANDING 4-H MEMBER - One Jr. and one Sr. Award (This award is for those 4-H members who have demonstrated outstanding qualities while participating in the 4-H Program in

Mesa County. These qualities may include having demonstrated good organizational and leadership skills, be a hard worker, have good sportsmanship, be dependable, etc.)

OUTSTANDING FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCES - One Jr. and one Sr. Award

(formally known as Outstanding Home Ec Award) (This award recognizes young people who have acquired and excelled in leadership qualities through their involvement in the area of

Family & Consumer Sciences project areas)

DANFORTH “I DARE YOU” AWARD

- One Sr. Award (The Danforth award recognizes young people who have worked to achieve their highest potential and influence others through lives of leadership and service.)

MESA COUNTY 4-H SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD - One award for any age 4-H member.

(This individual should demonstrate enthusiasm, self confidence, humility, generosity, desire to go above and beyond what is expected of them, and have a general positive approach to life situations.)

OUTSTANDING LEADER AWARD - One award for a 4-H Leader (This award honors a leader who has demonstrated the qualities of a good leader, is a hard worker, and has gone the extra mile for the 4-H youth of Mesa county)

OUTSTANDING FRIEND OF 4-H AWARD - One award. (This award honors a member of the community who has demonstrated the qualities of a good neighbor and has been especially helpful in promoting 4-H to the youth of Mesa County)

OUTSTANDING BUSINESS FRIEND OF 4-H AWARD - One award. (This award honors a business in the community who has demonstrated the qualities of a good neighbor and has been especially helpful in promoting 4-H in Mesa County)

POWER TO BELIEVE LEADER AWARD - One award. (This award honors a leader who goes above and beyond the call of duty of being just a leader, one who truly believes in the 4-H program and believes that losing just one person, is one too many, and believes that as long as one leader believes in 4-H, the program and the members will continue to make the best better.)

The awards listed above may only be received one time by any one individual.

Sr. Awards are for 4-H members 14 years and over by December 31, 2014

Junior awards are for 4-H members 8-13 years old by December 31, 2014
