YEAR 10 RAISING ACHIEVEMENT EVENT
WEDNESDAY 13 JANUARY 2016 – 4.00 PM TO 7.00 PM
We have organised a Year 10 Raising Achievement event on Wednesday 13 January 2016.
What is a raising achievement event?
We have changed the way we approach parents’ evening as we have learnt from the success
of previous events held in the Academy and taken on board feedback from parents. They will
now include:




A short presentation on changes in education, revision techniques, and tips to
support your child through their examinations
Appointments with subject teachers for a ten minute one to one meeting to discuss
strengths, progress to date and next steps required for each child
The opportunity to collect and take away revision materials for each subject area
Advice on home learning to enable independent learning skills to be developed,
leading to greater academic success
The ten minute appointments have to be made using our new electronic system, ParentMail
50% of our parents have already signed up to ParentMail, which is fantastic. If you have not
already signed up to the system, please use the documents enclosed to support you.
The window to book appointments is as stated below, please book early to prevent
disappointment.
From Monday 4 January 2016 until Tuesday 12 January 2016
We hope that you are able to attend the evening to allow us to maintain our effective
partnership to continuously improve student outcomes.
