Amerikaanse biotechnologie en life-sciences handelsmissie

Op 23 oktober bezoekt een Amerikaanse handelsmissie uit Alabama het BioScience Park in
Leiden. Deze handelsmissie bestaat uit bedrijven uit de biotechnologie en life-sciences branche,
die geïnteresseerd zijn om zaken te doen met Nederlandse partners, distributeurs,
onderzoeksinstellingen en andere contacten in deze sector.
Een lijst van de tien deelnemende bedrijven treft u hieronder. Wanneer u geïnteresseerd bent
om één of meerdere deelnemers te ontmoeten, faciliteren wij graag een vrijblijvende
kennismaking. Het gesprek kan plaatsvinden tijdens één-op-één afspraken tussen 15:30 tot
17:00 of gedurende de Business Networking Reception van 17:00 tot 18:30 op donderdag 23
oktober.

Atherotech Diagnostic Lab is a cardio-diagnostic company focused on direct measurement of
the comprehensive lipid profile using Vertical Auto Profile technology (VAP). VAP technology is

SynVivo Organ-on-chip platform – this is a physiological, cell-based biologically realistic
microenvironment allowing real-time study of cellular behavior, drug delivery and drug discovery.
It recreates the complex in vivo vasculature including scale, morphology, fluidics and cellular
interactions in an in vitro format, enabling basic and applied life sciences research. By combining
vascular cells under perfusion in co-culture with tissue cells in a 3D format in a unique side-byside architecture, it enables realistic and dynamic in vitro organoid simulation.
CoBi – This is a Multiscale, Multi-fidelity Computational Biology software platform for modeling
human biodynamics, physiology and pharmacology. The tool originated in military
applications,(injury analysis, protective equipment design, pain & fatigue modeling, neuroprotective drugs, and toxicity of nanoparticles. Main commercial applications of the tool are in
ergonomics, sports treatment/injuries, crash/injury analysis, chronic disease modeling and
progression, drug pharmacokinetics and dynamics.

Target prospects: The technology is early stage, not yet FDA-approved. Interest is focused on
