Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) is a therapeutic approach to treating
medical conditions and their associated symptoms via the use of a
specifically tailored diet devised and monitored by a registered dietitian.
The diet is based upon the patient's medical and psychosocial history,
physical examination, functional examination and dietary history.
The role of MNT when administered by a dietitian is to reduce the risk of
developing complications in pre-existing conditions such as diabetes as
well as ameliorate the effects any existing conditions such as high
cholesterol.
A nutritional therapy practitioner or clinical nutritionist combines the biochemical individuality of each client with a nutrient dense, properly
prepared whole food diet and nutritional supplementation in order to
return the client to a state of optimal health. They strive to treat the
body as a whole - addressing the causes of problems, not just the
symptoms
Many medical conditions either develop or are made worse by an
improper or unhealthy diet.

Vit B12
• Vitamin B12 insufficiency is common, especially in people
55 or older, vegetarians, or anyone on acid blocking
medication.
• MMA in urine to evaluate B12 need. Serum B12 has a low
predictive value for actual vitamin B12 deficiency.
• Elevated MMA identifies B12 as insufficient, and as it turns
out urine and serum MMA are very closely correlated.

Glycine (감초주사 성분)
• Glycine, the simplest amino acid, is considered conditionally
essential in man. Inadequate amounts can impair those functions
that are glycine-dependent such as: production of collagen,
elastin, porphyrins for hemoglobin and cytochrome P450s, bile
salts, purine bases, and glutathione; for detoxification of benzoic
acid; and methyl donation via the glycine cleavage system. That’s
a lot.
• The functional need for glycine can be reviewed in several urinary
markers including pyroglutamate, benzoate, hippurate, and 2methyl-hippurate.

5. 꼭 주의하여야 할 사항
1) 혼합된 수액의 농도 (Osmolality)를 계산하고 수액을 선택하여야 하며, 절대로 저장액 수액이 되어선 안 됩니다.
2) 모든 수액 또는 주사제는 과민성이 있을 수 있으니 처음 주사시에는 과민성 반응을 꼭 잘 살펴야 합니다.
3) 수액은 미리 혼합하시지 마시고, 주사 직전 혼합이 원칙이며, 주사 전에 혼합 수액에 추출물의 유무를 확인하는 습관이 중요합니다.
4) 주사를 통한 부작용과 합병증에 대해 알고 있어야 하며, 가능한 그런 일이 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다해야 합니다.
