Main Power

Typically, PDB’s facilitate
getting power from the
Main (high ampacity) to
the Load (low ampacity),
while conforming to
Codes and specs.
The “Primary” is the
input side of the PDB
and accepts large wires
from the main switch.
Loads

output side and can
usually accommodate a
lot of smaller wires that
continue on to the loads.

What is it?
Copper or aluminum block designed to provide a convenient method
of splicing cable or splitting primary power into multiple secondary
circuits.
Approved for use in UL 508A industrial control panels
Finger-safe providing protection against electrical shock
