Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012, an Act Improving the Quality of Health Care and
Reducing Costs Through Increased Transparency, Efficiency and Innovation, was signed
into law on August 4, 2012 by Governor Patrick and is set to become effective on
November 5, 2012. It represents a historic step forward for Massachusetts.
