Introduction
Tropical rainforest are really
important. Tropical rainforest
are located near the equator also
by Southern Asia, Africa, South
America, Central America and
Pacific Islands. Rainforest need
heat and a lot of rain. There are
many animals and plants in the
rainforest. These are the reasons
rainforest are important to us.
Forest Floor and Understory
The forest floor and the
understory are the two
lowest layers. The forest
floor is very wet and dark.
Also larger animals live
there. The understory has
a little more light and
butterflies, snakes, and
other animals.
Canopy and Emergent Layers
The canopy and emergent
layers are the two
highest layers. The
canopy is the top layer
and a lot of animals live
there. The emergent
layer is the top layer.
Supplies and Products
We get many supplies
from the rainforest. We
get fruits and vegetables.
One of them is bananas.
Also we get pineapples
from the rainforest.
Appearance
The blue morph butterfly
has a marking on the end
of their wings. Also the
blue morph butterfly has
four wings on each side.
The blue morph butterfly
has big wings.
Habitat
The blue morph butterfly lives
all around the world except
North and South pole .The
blue morph butterfly lives
mostly in tropical places.
Central and South America
has more butterflies than
anywhere else. The blue
morpho butterfly lives in
the emergent layer. It uses
plants for a home and food.
Diet
The blue morph
butterfly only eats liquids
like nectar. The blue
morph butterfly eats with
its proboscis. It’s like a
straw. They also drinks
juice from dead animals.
Predators and Prey
A blue morph
butterfly’s predators is
a jaguar. Another
predator is a fish.
When they are by
ponds, fish jump up
and eat them. They
are endangered.
Humans trap them in a
jar and don’t care for
them. They don’t even
feed them!
Adaptations
The blue morph
butterfly has to go
through several
changes to survive in
the rainforest.
Sometimes they can
camouflage with the
color blue.
