Giant Water Bug
Habitat
The giant water bug
usually live in clear,
slow-moving, freshwater streams or ponds,
preferring aquatic
vegetation(See map).
Description
The giant water bug is referred
to as one of the biggest insects
in both the U.S.A. and Canada.
It can grow up to 4 inches long
and is commonly mistaken for
a cockroach or beetle.

Whirligig Beetle
Habitat
The whirligig beetles live
in ponds and streams
and are found all over
the world.
Description
The whirligig beetles are
small, black beetles that
can grow to be 1/8 to 1
3/8 inches long.
