Dear dr. Abuznaid,
We, as Dutch people, have been shocked by the news of the kidnapping of three teenagers in
Israel. The boys, Yaakov Naphtali ben Rachel Devorah, Gil-Ad Michael ben Bat Galim and
Ayal ben Irit Teshurah were kidnapped and are missing since last Thursday.
The situation for the parents and the boys themselves is very tough and we ask you to convey
our concerns about this kidnapping to the responsible leaders in Ramallah.
We have seen that on the official Facebook page of Fatah, there is an inappropriate cartoon
which shows that this kidnapping is applauded by your party.
We therefore ask you to officially dissociate yourselves from this kidnapping, and from this
cartoon and to have those and similar expressions removed. We call for your leaders to exert
themselves to the extreme to get these three Israeli boys released in good health. This is also
a major responbility for the Palestinian Authority, since the kidnappers operate from an area
controlled by the PA.
The wife of your political leader Abbas is treated by Israeli doctors for her sickness and also
sick Palestinian children are treated by Israeli doctors. We hope and expect the Palestinian
leaders to also have this attitude towards Israeli citizens and that everything is put to work
to stop these crimes against Israel, so that the kidnappers will receive punishment for their
­crimes.
