Robust Wireless

The upgraded JSU wireless network supports the growth
of wireless on the campus with improved coverage,
performance and reliability.

Robust Network meets mobile generation needs. With
increase usage of mobile devices and execution of the
iPad initiative, wireless network was improved to run on
the latest wireless standard, 802.11n, providing
increased transmission speed and throughput.

During the FY 2013 year, the JSU wireless network was
expanded to cover all academic buildings on the JSU
main campus, off-site buildings and dorms.
Banner Revitalization

An assessment of operation and usage of the JSU
ERP System, Banner was conducted during FY13.

Results of the assessment led to the outsourcing
of the operation of the Banner system and hosting.

June 2013, Ellucian was awarded a five year
$1.4M/yr contract for management and hosting.


