NGOs Coordination Council (NGOCC) established by
the M/o Population Welfare-MoPW/ GoP
1994
NGOCC transformed to establish NATPOW under
Charitable & Endowment Act with Endowment Fund
of Rs. 104 million from MoPW/ GoP
2010 (Post-18th Amendment Scenario)
NATPOW transferred to P&D Division
National Trust for Population Welfare-NATPOW is
an autonomous organization established by the
Government of Pakistan since 1994 under
Charitable Endowment Act 1890, and being a
Grants Management Body it is mandated to act
an interface and create effective partnerships
between Government & Donors and Civil Society
Organizations-CSOs/ NGOs & Private Sector
NATPOW has its own Scheme for Administration,
Employees’ Service Rules and Pay Scales
About NATPOW
Recently, NATPOW has expanded its sphere and
scope of services to include diverse projects
related to social uplift of women, gender equality
& equity, literacy & education especially the girls’
education, responsible parenthood, sexual &
reproductive health and rights-SRHR and
economic empowerment of the poor, rural,
marginalized and deprived communities through
skill development/ Technical & Vocational Training
so that they also contribute to the development
process in the Country
