collaboration!
• Please make sure you signed in with your first
and last name, along with your teacher’s
name to earn full credit. Here’s an example of
what it should look like: Jane Doe-Mr. Smith (If
you need to, please log out and re-sign to list
your teacher’s name)
• This collaboration will satisfy the collaboration
requirement for either segment 1 or 2.

Session Guidelines
Chats or communication should be only relate to the session
topic and should be academic in nature. I will give you 10
minutes at the end for the session for you to get to know each
other
Only use appropriate language
Be respectful of other participants and the teacher(s). Be
accepting of contributions made by others
Any inappropriate behavior will result in removal from this
session
We will be sending you the Collaboration
Assessment Guide. Accept and save this
document to your computer.
You will fill it out and submit it via Assessments
to your teacher.
If you are in the 1st semester, you will submit for
S1 Collaboration Assessment Guide.
If you are in the 2nd semester, you will submit for
S2 Collaboration Assessment Guide.
What will you do with FLVS and the
Winter Holiday?
A) Spend most of the time to do FLVS assignments.
B) Shut the computer off because I will be done with this
semester of FLVS by December 20, 2012 or before.
C) Spend time some time with family/friends, and some doing
FLVS assessments.
D) Volunteer (such as at a homeless shelter), spend time with
family/friends, and visit the FLVS site a few times.

Political Maps show the boundaries of
countries and key physical features.
Topographic and Resource Maps
Resource Maps show economic
activity or natural resources.
Topographic Maps show elevation
changes.
Trail (road/street) Map
Road/Street/Trail Maps show how to travel from one place to another
via bike, water, street, etc.
Climate Map
Climate Maps show weather conditions such as rainfall,
temperature, humidity, etc.
