groups to ensure progress. There are three
rotations each day that includes spelling
work, reading fluency/expression and
comprehension.
The extended time allotted for
our reading block allows us to
incorporate RTI into our lessons
in order to monitor and
evaluate student progress.

- Instead of having students write summaries nightly,
we are encouraging students to get excited about
reading and to RESPOND to their reading

week. There are different activities that
students should be completing Monday
through Thursday in their spelling journals.
