An Introduction
What is this all about?
• VIVEK BAND, is a campaign to spread
the legacy of Swamy Vivekananda by
wearing a wrist band with the message
'BE GOOD - DO GOOD'
National Scenario
• India has highest youth population in the
world. The young India is highly potential for a
mass social transformation.
• There should be an effort to harvest the youth
energy, which thinks and works for the society,
pledged to make the nation as an universal
superpower.
Need of Youth Awakening
• There are plenty of socio-economic, sociopolitical challenges within our society which
weakens the national integrity.
• An awakened Youth Population can only has all
courage and ability to fight against social evils
like casteism, social challenges like terrorism and
imbue the spirit of universal brotherhood.
Importance of Social Initiatives
• Social initiatives are much needed and timely
helpful to awaken the youth population of this
nation. History always narrated that an alert
population can only make a stable society.
• VIVEK BAND for every youth’s wrist is such one
initiative to imbue the spirit of nationalism and
patriotism amongst youth population of India.

When does the Campaign start
• This campaign will begin on January
12th, 2015, to commemorate the
birthday of Swamy Vivekananda, which
is celebrated as National Youth Day.
Campaign Duration
The “Be Good - Do Good” campaign
starts with the wearing of the wrist
band on 12th January 2015 and lasts
for 2 weeks till January 26th, 2015.
Who should wear Vivek Band
• College students, Young professionals,
both men and women
• Though it can be given to any agegroup, specific focus is on the dynamic
youth
Why ‘BE GOOD - DO GOOD’?
January 12th, National Youth Day is a
reminder of the immense potential and
opportunities that the youth have, to
transform their lives and to pledge to
build a strong, healthy society.
BE GOOD….
• Like: Pledge to bring a positive change
within self
• For Example: No to tobacco-alcohol,
Respect for all, Yes to healthy lifestyle, Use
organic food, Practice Yoga, Control angerbad emotions, Think Positive, Adopt good
habits.
DO GOOD….
• Like: Participate in an activity which helps
transformation at social level
• For Example: Donate blood, Teach poor kids,
Wear Khadi, Use Swadeshi products, Stop
using plastic, Conduct Swacch Bharat activity,
Exhibit social outlook, Participate in
community activities
