13 Colonies Essay
Instructions:
Use your notes and assignments for supportive details.
You have today and tomorrow to complete this.
Write a persuasive 5 paragraph essay to influence the reader why you think one
region (New England, Middle, or Southern) would be the best region to live in as
compared to the other two regions.
You will need to include supportive details (for example: region's colonies, who
founded each colony, when and why they were founded, and interesting colonial
facts) about your region of choice to further persuade your reader.
You will also need to compare your region of choice to the other two regions to
prove why your choice is better than the other two. You will need to include
supportive facts about the other regions and their colonies to explain why your
region is the best to live in.
*Remember, a proper essay includes an introduction (hook, thesis, three reasons), three supportive
paragraphs (1 reason per paragraph), and a conclusion ( a paragraph is 5-7 sentences).
