History and Description

 The English language is the
 İngilis dili bizim dünyamızın
language of our world. At the
moment, our children are
learning the English language at
school. In order to increase their
English language abilities and
interest, we wish to create an
English language competition.
This competition us called a
“Spelling Bee” and throughout
the world such competitions are
taking place. This will be our first
competition in Azerbaijan and we
hope that this competition shall
continue in the future!

yarışlar baş verir. Azərbaycanda
bu bizim ilk yarışımız olacaq və
ümid edirik ki bu yarış gələcəkdə

The “Levels”
Three levels total
Üç səviyyə cəmi
1. 5th and 6th forms will compete with
each other.
1. 5ci və 6cı siniflərdən olan şagirdlər
bir-biri ilə yarışsin.
2. 7th and 8th forms will compete with
each other
2. 7ci və 8ci siniflərdən olan şagirdlər
bir-biri ilə yarışsin.
3. 9th, 10th, and 11th forms will compete
with each other
3. 9cu, 10cu, və 11ci olan şagirdlər birbiri ilə yarışsin,
Note/Qəyd!
In order to have our competition, there must be at least
8 competitors from each level.
Yarışımız olmaq üçün, hər bir səviyyədən ən azı 8 yarışçı
olmalıdı.
Rules and Procedures
Qaydalar və Üsullar
 1. Students are placed in alphabetical order and sit in
that order on the stage

Şagirdlər onların adlarına əsasən nizama qoyular və səhnədə
belə nizamlı otursunlar.
 2. The pronouncer will call the student’s first name.
 Diktor ilk şagirdin adını çağırsın.
 3. The student steps up to the indicated competition
space

Cağırılmış şagird göstərilmış yarış yərinə gəzsin.
 4. The pronouncer chooses a word from the word list
 Diktor söz siyahısında bir sözü səçsin.
 5. The pronouncer says the word in English, pauses,
and then repeats the word in English again.

Diktor İngiliscə sözü dəsin, fasilə etsin, və İngiliscə bir də sözü
təkrar etsin.
 6. The student can ask for the word to be repeated.
 Şagird sözü təkrar edilmək üçün xahiş edə bilir.
 7. The student can also ask the pronouncer to read
the definition of the word.

Şagird həmçinin diktordan sözünün tərifini oxumaq üçün
xahiş edə bilirş
 8. The student can also ask the pronouncer to give an
example sentence.

Şagird həmçinin diktordan sözünün bir nümunə cümləsi üçün
xahiş edə bilir,
 9. The student shall say the word, spell the word, and
say the word again.


Şagird sözü deməlidir, sözü hərf-hərf deməlidir, və bir də sözü
deməlidir.
Example: Apple, A-P-P-L-E, Apple.
 10. If the word is spelled correctly, the student takes
their seat.

Əgər söz düzgün hərf-hərf deyilsə, şagird otursun.
 11. If the word is spelled incorrectly, the judge shall
give the correct spelling of the word.

Əgər söz səhv hərf-hərf deyilsə, hakim sözün düzgün hərf-hərf
deməsi versin.
 12. The student has TWO minutes to spell the word
correctly

Şagirdin onun sözü hərf-hərf demək üçün iki dəqiqəsi var.
 13. The student has ONE try to spell the word
correctly

Şagirdin onun sözü düzgün hərf-hərf demək üçün bir cəhdi var.
 14. Those who spell the word incorrectly shall leave
the stage together at the end of the round

Sözü səhv hərf-hərf deyən şagirdlər şəhnədən birlikdə turun
axırsında çıxsınlar.
 15. For LOCAL competitions, the competition will
end when there are 3 students remaining!

Yerli yarışlar üçün, üç sagird qalana qədər yarış davam etsin.
 16. For the NATIONAL competition, the competition
will end when there is 1 student remaining!

Milli yarış üçün, bir şagird qalana qədər yarış davam etsin.
English, English, English!
 During the Spelling Bees, please only use English!
 Only the rules may be explained in Azerbaijani for
clarification

For local bees, teachers may opt to provide the Azerbaijani
translation….



your Peace Corps teacher.

