White Tiger Locations
The habitat of the white tigers all depends where food and water is
the most plentiful. They try to stick close to lakes and streams,
because of their love of swimming. The white tiger usually lives
in hot ,dry climates such as Russia, Asia, and northern India.
Diet
• Tigers eat mostly wild
deer, wild pigs, and
wild cows.
• They usually gorge
themselves with
about 40lbs. Of food
each meal. They will
not eat for several
days.
• The range of the
weight for the white
tiger’s diet is
anywhere from 65 to
2,000 pounds.
Tiger Adaptations
White tigers have a few special
adaptations. The stripes on
the tiger’s body help the
white tigers to be invisible
in tall grass and trees.
However some tigers like the
one shown to the right do
not have that ability, still
they can blend in with their
surroundings. The long claws
on the tiger help them to
catch and rip into their
prey. Also their small
triangular ears help them to
hear sounds from far away.
Finally, their high definition
eyes help them to see at
night and objects far away.
The observation Cory made about
this tiger was that this animal
has no stripes .
Tiger’s Have Their Babies
White tiger’s mate every year in the
spring. They usually stay in heat for
about 3-7 days. They find a male by
making small marks on the trees
with their nails. Females usually go
for the most dominate male. They
stay pregnant for 3-3 ½ months.
The babies are born live. Also the
babies are born blind. And weigh
about 4-6 pounds.
