Subject: Proposal for Seniors’ Night (JS Prom)
Rationale
1. Milestone Celebration:
The transition from high school to the next phase of life is a significant milestone for our
seniors. A Seniors’ Night offers a dedicated occasion to celebrate their achievements,
growth, and friendships over the years.
2. Community Building:
JS Prom fosters a sense of community within the senior class. It provides an opportunity
for students to come together, creating lasting memories that contribute to a strong sense
of camaraderie and unity.
3. Social Skills and Etiquette:
The event would not only be an enjoyable experience but also an educational one.
Students will have the chance to practice social skills, proper etiquette, and the art of
formal event participation – valuable lessons as they prepare to enter higher education
or the workforce.
4. Positive School Spirit:
Hosting a Seniors’ Night reflects positively on our school’s commitment to creating a wellrounded educational experience. It adds to the vibrant school spirit and contributes to a
positive reputation within the broader community.
5. Student Engagement:
Involving students in the planning and organization of the event can enhance their
leadership and teamwork skills. It provides a hands-on learning opportunity beyond the
classroom, promoting responsibility and collaboration.
Logistics
1. Venue:
Consideration can be given to our own school premises, depending on the budget and
available resources. Same day event during culmination day.
2. Theme and Décor:

students and faculty collaborating on decoration ideas to create a festive and memorable
environment.

A proposed costing will be presented, detailing the estimated costs, and any additional
requirements. Funding sources can be explored, including student contributions and
potential sponsorship.
