Target Audience- Zitha Wana

The target audience of any type of campaign
should appeal to a certain targeted audience.
This is to ensure that the audience that is
targeted receives the correct knowledge and
information regarding a certain product or
service. It is often quite easy to distinguish
certain groups of audiences for certain things.
However as times it might be difficult if one
does not get the correct information of a
audience.
With that in mind ,our target audience for the
Education With Action campaign has to be the
students of Nelson Mandela University as we
are hosting our campaign in their community
grounds. The campaign goes hand in hand
with the Narrocco Institute as our campaign is
assisting students who are having trouble with
their application , registration and any other
process. The students of Nelson Mandela
University are very much diverse , being that
there are students who have scholarship,
bursaries , loans and those who are funded
by their household beneficiaries. These 4
categories are taken into account when
looking for the target audience for our
campaign.
The targeted audience for our campaign is
students who fall under the NSFAS bursary
scheme. Those who are funded by NSFAS
throughout their academic years are those the
campaign is strictly targeting. Our campaigns
main objective is to ensure that these students
are funded , their application and registration
process is ongoing through the new Narrocco
system that has been introduced recently.
This system has been causing great problems
within the students that are NSFAS funded.
The system is often down, the students IDs
are not found in the system at times , the Pins
that are given to the students don't work and
so forth.
Our campaigns audience which is NSFAS fully
funded students are targeted for the reason
that the students have been complaining to
NSFAS regarding the Narrocco system,
emails have been sent , calls are being made
and the students are striking as well due to the
University not communicating with NSAFAS to
change the new system to the old one which
had been InteliMali. Our campaign comes in
play , as
it is created to not only acknowledge those
who are complaining but to also serve a
helping hand.
Our offices are located at Embizeweni Floor 2
, room 401 where there will be 4 advisors who
will be helping the NSFAS funded students get
their allowances and registration process up to
date with the Narrocco system.
