QUESTION: Give 20 different definitions of Human Resource Management. Add the names of
those who defined them and the year it was defined. After, give your own definition based in the
definitions you found.
1.Human Resource Management is the recruitment, selection, development, utilization of and
accommodation to human resources by organisations. (French Wendell 1982)
2.Human Resource Management is a distinctive approach to employment management which
seeks to achieve competitive advantage through the strategic deployment of a highly committed
and capable workforce, using an array of cultural, structural and personnel techniques. (Storey ,

organization such that financial, social and productivity goals of the organization are met and
also that there is a cordial relationship between employees.
